Chicks for Change is a great way of helping Amigos charity make a big difference to young disadvantaged lives in Uganda.

Africa loves chickens, you see them ruining around villages in every rural community, the only problem is - they don’t lay many eggs.

Our European chickens lay loads of eggs, but cost a lot to feed.

Amigos chicken project at Kira Farm Training Centre helps in two ways.

• The sale of European chicks into the Ugandan poultry market, generating much-needed funds to help train more disadvantaged teenagers with vocational skills.

• Develop and improve ‘Back Yard’ chickens, enabling them to produce more eggs for rural communities.
